Good News for Panchayat Fans: Season 3 is Coming!

Great news for fans of the heartwarming series “Panchayat”! Prime Video, the streaming service where you can watch Panchayat, has officially announced that there will be a Season 3.

What is Panchayat About?

Panchayat tells the story of Abhishek, a young man who just graduated with a degree in engineering. Unlike many graduates, Abhishek can’t find a high-paying job in the city. Instead, he takes a job as a secretary for a village council (called a Gram Panchayat) in a remote village named Phulera.

The show follows Abhishek’s journey as he adjusts to life in a small village. The series is known for its realistic portrayal of rural India and its characters you can’t help but care about.

What Do We Know About Season 3?

While Prime Video has confirmed a new season, they haven’t announced a release date yet. This has left many fans curious, as shown by the comments on Prime Video’s announcement. People are asking questions like “When will it be out?” and “Why announce it without a date?”

One thing we do know about Season 3 is the cast. Jitendra Kumar will be back as Abhishek, the lead character. He’ll be joined again by Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, and many other actors who made the first two seasons so enjoyable.

While speaking to Filmfare, Jitendra talked about the comparison of his character in ‘Panchayat’ to Shah Rukh Khan’s role in ‘Swades’. He said, “In Season 1, the writer added that punch about my friend calling me Mohan Bhargav (Shah Rukh’s character in Swades). But nothing more than that. Abhishek Tripathi of the Panchayat did not have any interest in village life like Shah Rukh’s character, who wanted to do something good for his village. Abhishek also did not have any motivation to teach there, so there were no comparisons. But in Season 2, he does start having some thoughts about it as he gets more emotionally involved with the village and the people.”

So, while we wait for a release date, we can be excited to see Abhishek navigate the “murky waters” of Phulera politics once again in Season 3!
