OMG 2: Now Streaming in More Languages!

OMG 2, a funny and exciting movie starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, was a big hit in theaters in 2023. It earned a lot of money and got good reviews for its message about teaching kids about sex and relationships (sex education). The movie was directed by Amit Rai and also stars Yami Gautam, Anvesha Vij, Aarush Varma, Geeta Agrawal Sharma, and Pavan Malhotra.

At first, OMG 2 was only available to watch online on Netflix, but now it’s also available in other languages!

Where to Watch OMG 2

If you want to watch OMG 2, you can now find it on JioCinema in Telugu, Tamil, Bangla, and Marathi! You can also still watch it on Netflix in Hindi.

What is OMG 2 About?

The movie tells the story of a religious man who goes against the strict rules of his son’s school and what people normally think is right (social taboos) to fight for sex education in schools. His son got kicked out of school because of a video of him that everyone saw online (went viral). The movie also shows that if you try to do something good for the world (a noble cause), God will help you. Pankaj Tripathi plays the father of the boy in the movie, and Akshay Kumar plays a character who represents Lord Shiva.

Changes Made Before Release

Before OMG 2 came out in theaters, a committee that decides what movies are appropriate for different ages (the Central Board of Film Certification, or CBFC) asked the filmmakers to make some big changes. In the original movie, Akshay Kumar played Lord Shiva himself, but in the version that was shown in theaters, he played a messenger of Lord Shiva.

The CBFC also asked the filmmakers to take out 20 parts of the movie and only allow adults to watch it (give it an ‘A’ certificate). The filmmakers weren’t happy with these changes and asked the CBFC to give the movie a rating that allows younger teens to watch it with a parent or guardian (a ‘U/A’ certificate) instead. In the end, OMG 2 was released in theaters with an ‘A’ certificate and no cuts, but the filmmakers did have to make 25 other changes.
