Priyanka Chopra Falls Prey To Deepfake After Rashmika Mandanna, Alia Bhatt; Doctored Audio Goes Viral

The recent emergence of deepfake videos has sparked widespread concern about the misuse of technology and the lack of adequate legal protections against its harmful applications. Following a viral deepfake video that purported to show Rashmika Mandanna entering an elevator, a manipulated video of Priyanka Chopra has now surfaced online.

Unlike other actresses whose faces have been digitally altered in controversial deepfakes, Priyanka’s face remains unaltered in this manipulated video. However, her voice and original lines have been replaced with a fake brand endorsement in which she appears to reveal her annual earnings while promoting the brand.

The recent proliferation of deepfake videos has raised concerns about the misuse of technology and the potential for harm caused by these manipulated clips. In one instance, Alia Bhatt’s face was digitally altered onto another woman’s body in a video circulating on social media. Similarly, a deepfake video of Kajol was created by superimposing her face onto a British influencer’s body in a video originally posted on TikTok.

Additionally, Katrina Kaif’s action sequence from the film Tiger-3 was manipulated to depict her fighting another woman while wearing a towel. These incidents highlight the growing sophistication of deepfake technology and the need for effective measures to combat its misuse.
