Bobby Deol regained his fame after working in Aashram and Animal but there was a time in his career when the actor was lacking motivation in life due to less work. Recalling one such incident from the past, actor-director Shreyas Talpade shared that Bobby was not in a frame of mind at a certain point in his career. Shreyas, who worked as a director in Poster Boys, went for the narration of the script to Bobby Deol during his low phase. Along with himself and Bobby, the movie also starred Tripti Dimri, Sonali Kulkarni, Randheer Rai, Samiksha Bhatnagar and Elli AvrRam in pivotal roles.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Shreyas said “Yes, that was a time when Bobby, especially, was at an all-time low. He hadn’t worked for four years. And I remember when I first went to meet him for a narration, we just chit-chatted, because he wasn’t in that frame of mind… He was very low. ‘Maine kaam nahi kiya, mujhe confidence nahi hai, kya karun (I haven’t worked in a while, I don’t have the confidence, I don’t know what to do),’ he said. So, we didn’t do the narration. Next day, I went again, and got through the first half. And then I returned the day after that finished the second half.”

Notably, Bobby Deol was last seen in Animal directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The movie starred Ranbir Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. It also stars Tripti Dimri, Anil Kapoor, Saloni Batra, Saurabh Sachdeva and Siddhant Karnick in pivotal roles.

Bobby will be next seen in Kanguva alongside Suriya. Directed by Siva, the Tamil movie will also star Disha Patani, Redin Kingsley, Aarash Shah, Kovai Sarala, and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles. He has several projects lined up including Anurag Kashyap’s untitled film, Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly, and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film NBK109.
