Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan was rescued from a flooded area in Chennai, India, after torrential rains caused widespread flooding. Khan was seen in a viral photo seated in a boat with Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal and others, receiving assistance from rescue workers.

Fans were curious about Khan’s presence in Chennai, and it has been revealed that he relocated to the city temporarily to be with his ailing mother, Zeenat Hussain. Hussain is reportedly undergoing medical treatment for a heart attack.

Khan, known for his close bond with his mother, has taken a break from his acting career to focus on his family.

Coming back to the viral photos, it was shared by Vishnu Vishal on X, previously known as Twitter. He said, “Thanks to the fire and rescue department in helping people like us who are stranded. Rescue operations have started in Karapakkam. Saw 3 boats functioning already. Great work by TN govt in such testing times. Thanks to all the administrative people who are working relentlessly.”

Aamir Khan’s most recent film, Laal Singh Chaddha, failed to perform well at the box office despite starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya.

On August 29, 2023, it was announced that Khan’s next film, titled “Production No. 16,” will be released on December 20, 2024. Pre-production is underway, and filming will begin on January 20, 2024.

Khan is also reportedly in talks with director Rajkumar Hirani for a possible biopic of Indian cricketer Lala Amarnath.
