Bollywood Flashback: Zeenat Aman was in shock after watching Salman Khan’s Maine Pyar Kiya

Sometime in the 80s, Salman Khan would go for his work out to Hotel Sea Rock, Bandstand Bandra which was the hub of many film celebrities, including Zeenat Aman. When Salman’s second film, Rajshri’s sensational hit, Maine Pyar Kiya (MPK)was complete, the actor decided to show it to his friends and invited everybody he knew who would come to the hotel for their work out. “I invited Zeenat Aman, too, and when she came out of the theatre after watching the film, she had the expression of shock. I asked her how she liked the film, and she said, ‘This is really childish. You were shown shutting your eyes while you rubbed iodex on the heroine’s ankle! How ridiculous is that? I can understand if you shut your eyes while rubbing iodex around the mid-thigh area, but shutting eyes while rubbing iodex on the ankle!!!’And she was still more amazed when I told her that actually Bhagyashree was hurt just below the knee but she refused to expose her knee and hence I was rubbing iodex on her ankle,” guffaws Salman uncontrollably.

Salman further reveals that when his leading lady from MPK, who was about to get married then, refused to wear a short dress or do the kissing scene on screen (which even Salman is still uncomfortable doing), they had to organise a mirror and reflector cloth to shoot the kissing scene in the film!
