Aditya Roy Kapur Talking Logic About Why Kartik is Perfect And He Is Not Part Of Aashiqui 3, Made Us Love Him More

Aditya Roy Kapur, known for his role in Aashiqui 2, won’t be in the upcoming Aashiqui 3. Instead, Kartik Aaryan will be leading the movie!

Aditya revealed this on Koffee With Karan, joking that his character in Aashiqui 2 didn’t make it. “There was no chance I could be in this, because in the second part, my character went for a long swim, from which he is not returning,” Aditya said and then added, “So I feel like it’s great. I died ya. Where will I come back now? My spirit will come back.” When Karan jokingly said, “He’ll haunt Kartik Aaryan,” Aditya replied, “Yeah, he’s hovering over Kartik Aaryan. He’s the villain.”

Aashiqui 3 is the third film in a popular romance series. The first one came out in 1990, while Aditya starred in the 2013 sequel. Kartik announced the new movie last year, but details about the story and cast are still under wraps.

So, while we won’t see Aditya reprise his role, Aashiqui 3 promises a fresh love story with a new leading man.

Later, talking to Variety about Aashiqui 3, Kartik said, “The timeless classic Aashiqui is something I grew up watching and working on Aashiqui 3 is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful to collaborate with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I’ve been a big fan of Anurag Basu’s work and collaborating with him on this one will definitely shape me in many ways.”

It was recently reported that Kartik Aaryan is likely to reunite with his former girlfriend Sara Ali Khan for Aashiqui 3. However, there is no official confirmation of this as of now.
