February 1, 2024HanuMan, the first movie in a brand new superhero world created by director Prasanth Varma, turned out to be a superhit! It earned over Rs 250 crore (that’s a lot of money!) at theaters around the world. This Teja Sajja-starring action flick came out on January 12th, just in time for the Sankranti festival, and it’s still packing a punch at the box office even after breaking tons of records!
Remember when it crossed Rs 200 crore worldwide? That was amazing! And here at home in India, it’s close to touching Rs 180 crore. HanuMan also became one of the top 6 highest-earning Telugu movies ever shown in the USA!

The movie tells the story of Hanumanthu, a regular guy who turns into a superhero named HanuMan. Teja Sajja plays Hanumanthu, and Amritha Aiyer plays his love interest. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar also stars as Hanumanthu’s fierce sister. This action-packed adventure is the first Telugu superhero movie, and it has a bunch of other cool actors like Vennela Kishore, Satya, Vinay Rai, and more.
Prasanth Varma wrote and directed HanuMan, and K Niranjan Reddy produced it under his banner Prime Show Entertainment. The music and background score were created by Hari Gowra and Krishna Saurabh, Dasaradhi Sivendra handled the camera, and Saibabu Talari edited the film.
