According to reports, the rights to stream Kanguva online (for viewers in South India) have been sold to Amazon Prime Video for a whopping 80 crore rupees! This is a huge deal for the South Indian film industry. No other South Indian movie has sold its digital rights for such a high price. This makes us wonder how well the movie will do overall!
The producer of Kanguva, Gnanavelraja, recently addressed some criticism that the film looked similar to a popular video game called “Ghost of Tsushima.” He assured everyone that Kanguva is an original story created by the director, Siva, based on real events that happened in the 16th century. It’s not a copy of anything else.
Disha Patani will be the leading lady in Kanguva. The film also features Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, and Anand Rah in supporting roles. We can expect a great cast and a thrilling story when Kanguva releases this summer!
