The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the biggest sporting events in India, and for fans, it’s a non-stop thrill ride. But all that excitement comes with a little bit of pressure, especially for the team owners! Juhi Chawla, who co-owns the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, recently opened up about the tense atmosphere when their team plays.

Just like fans glued to their TV screens, Juhi, Shah Rukh Khan, and her husband Jay Mehta (a businessman) are often spotted cheering for KKR in the stadium. However, things can get a little stressful during close matches.

Sharing a funny anecdote, Juhi revealed that Shah Rukh Khan tends to get a bit worked up when KKR isn’t performing well, and sometimes lets out his frustration on her! She jokingly said it’s not always the most relaxing experience watching a match with him.

“The IPL is always exciting,” Juhi said at a recent event. “We’re all glued to the TV, and when our team plays, it’s a rollercoaster of emotions. We’re all really tense!”

“But honestly, watching a match with Shah Rukh Khan isn’t always the best idea,” she admitted. “If the team isn’t doing well, he vents his frustration on me! I keep telling him to talk to the team, not me. So maybe we’re not the best people to watch the match with. I think the same goes for a lot of team owners. They all get super stressed when their teams play.”

This year’s IPL season kicked off in Chennai’s famous Chepauk Stadium on March 22nd. The opening ceremony even featured a special performance by Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, who will be starring together in a new movie.

So, while IPL is a time for entertainment and celebration, it’s also clear that for team owners like Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan, there’s a lot riding on each match!
