Hrithik Roshan Reacts As Fighter Sets New Netflix Record; Surpasses Animal And Dunki

Fighter Takes Off on Netflix, Becomes Biggest Bollywood Hit There

The action movie Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, has become a huge success on Netflix. In just 10 days on the streaming service, it’s racked up a massive 12.4 million views, making it the most popular Bollywood movie on Netflix ever! This is even more impressive considering other big movies like Animal and Dunki were also on Netflix recently.

The movie, directed by Siddharth Anand, came out in theaters in January and hit Netflix in March. Hrithik Roshan was so excited about the news that he shared it on his Instagram Stories. He reposted a tweet that said Fighter had broken all records for a Bollywood movie on Netflix, beating out Animal and Dunki by a lot. The tweet also said it was the fastest Bollywood movie to reach 12.4 million views. Hrithik simply replied, “Yo!”

Animal, which came to Netflix in January, and Dunki, which arrived in February, couldn’t compete with Fighter’s massive popularity. Even though both movies did well in theaters before coming to Netflix, Fighter has clearly blown them out of the water.

Fighter features a big cast of actors, including Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi. They all play officers in the Indian Air Force (IAF). The movie follows a new, elite unit called the Air Dragons. This group was created by the IAF to fight against militants in Kashmir, a region in India.
