Animal star Ranbir Kapoor wants to be adopted son of ‘Telugu states’, Anil Kapoor renames him RK Rao
November 28, 2023As Animal is nearing its release, the cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol has been leaving no stone unturned to promote the film. In the latest, the team flew down to Hyderabad for a pre-release event wherein they interacted with the media and requested fans to watch their film on December 1 in theatres. During the interaction, Ranbir urged the South audience to accept him and take him as the adopted son of their region.
A fan page on Instagram shared a video from the event where Ranbir can be heard saying, âReally want to be the adopted son of the Telugu states, so please accept me in whatever way possible.â Reacting to his statement, Anil said, âYour name from today is RK Rao,â and Ranbir agreed to him. As soon as the video surfaced, a user wrote, âAlready owned bangaramâ Another added, âWe accept you, bro.â Check out the video here:
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy fame, Animal promises a gritty drama on Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor’s complex father-son bond. While Rashmila plays Ranbirâs wife, Bobby Deol plays the antagonist in the film. Besides them, the film also features Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra and Triptii Dimrii in key roles.
Ahead of the release of the film, the film has already achieved a remarkable feat in the domestic market by selling over 2 lakh tickets in advance booking. A total of 2,09,986 tickets have been sold, taking the earnings to Rs 6.42 crore in just 48 hours since the advance booking opened on Saturday, November 25. As per early estimates, the film is set to surpass Rs 50 crore on the first day, promising the biggest opener for Ranbir Kapoor. The film has been cleared with an âAâ rating by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has a run time of three hours and 21 minutes.
