December 25, 2023Salaar: A Big Hit with Explosions and Star Power
Prabhas’ latest movie, Salaar Part 1: CeaseFire, has exploded onto the scene and become the biggest box office smash of the year! It earned a whopping Rs 95 crore (almost $12 million) across all languages on its first day!
This action-packed flick, directed by Prashanth Neel, crossed over the Rs 400 crore (about $50 million) mark worldwide within just three days! That’s huge, with Rs 208 crore (over $26 million) coming from India alone. Its success is all thanks to its star power: Prabhas is a huge draw, and releasing the movie in Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil dubs made it a hit across different parts of India and even abroad.
The makers, Hombale Films, announced on opening day that they already raked in Rs 175 crore (around $22 million) globally! Being the biggest Indian film opening of the year, Salaar has also gotten mostly good reviews, which means people are telling their friends to watch it. This could mean even more money during the Christmas holidays!
