Nonetheless, Susmita stated that she felt compelled to speak up since she believed that people sometimes mistook silence for fear. Sushmita revealed that she was amused by the entire incident and she wanted people to know the following:

“I just put out one post on Instagram because sometimes I think when people keep quiet, their silence is mistaken for weakness or fear. I just wanted to put out one post to let them know that I’m laughing. After that, I was done with it.”
