However, that doesn’t mean she’s been sitting around doing nothing! Soon, she’ll be back on our screens in a whole new light. She’s starring in an action-packed series called Citadel: Honey Bunny, directed by Raj and DK. She’ll be acting alongside Varun Dhawan in this show.
Citadel: Honey Bunny is actually an Indian version of an international show called Citadel, which was created by the Russo brothers. The other version of the show stars Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. While the international version focuses more on action and suspense, Citadel: Honey Bunny will be a spy thriller with a bit of romance thrown in for good measure. The story takes place in the 1990s.
Samantha is excited to show off her action skills in this new series. She recently talked to ANI about her role, saying, “The action sequences in this show are very different from what I did for Family Man when I played Raji. It’s a whole new level, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how it looks on screen. I definitely wanted to do more action than I did in Family Man, and I think I achieved that goal. The action scenes are some of the highlights of the series, and I can’t wait for everyone to see them!”
