Tripti Dimri To Star Opposite Kartik Aaryan In Aashiqui 3? Mukesh Bhatt Breaks Silence

Tripti Dimri has found immense success after starring in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial ‘Animal’. The actress impressed the audience with her performance as Zoya and her fans are eagerly looking forward to her next projects. It was recently reported that Tripti will be seen in the much-awaited film ‘Aashiqui 3’, starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. ‘Aashiqui 3’ was announced in September 2022 and there has been a lot of speculation about who will be seen as the leading lady in this musical romantic drama.

Producer Mukesh Bhatt has now rubbished the rumours of Tripti’s casting in ‘Aashiqui 3’ and revealed that he has not even met her. While speaking to ETimes, he said, “Rubbish! This is absolutely false. I have made it very clear that we are not casting until the script and the music are ready. But everyone wants to cash in on my popular Aashiqui franchise. This is unacceptable. I haven’t even met this lady.”

He further added, “The only name that has been finalized is Kartik Aaryan. Kartik and the music are the stars of Aashiqui 3. The rest will happen after we get the music in place, not before,” reinforcing the significance of music in the film’s development.”

‘Aashiqui 3’ will be directed by Anurag Basu. Talking about working with the filmmaker, Kartik said in a statement, “The timeless classic ‘Aashiqui’ is something I grew up watching and working on ‘Aashiqui 3’ is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful collaborating with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I’ve been a big fan of Anurag Basu’s work and collaborating with him on this one will definitely shape me in many ways.”

Anurag Basu said that he is looking forward to working with Kartik. It’d be my first venture with Kartik Aaryan, who is known for his hard work, dedication, grit and determination towards his work and I’m truly looking forward to this one.”

The first instalment of ‘Aashiqui’ was released in 1990 and starred Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. ‘Aashiqui 2’ stars Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles.
