Chhorii 2 First Poster | Prime Video Shares Fresh Look From Soha Ali Khan, Nushrratt Bharuccha’s Upcoming Horror Movie

Back in 2021, a horror movie titled “Chhorii” released in India. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film kept audiences on the edge of their seats with its scary story. It was produced by a bunch of big names in the Indian film industry, including Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, and others.
Surprisingly, the makers decided to create a part two! “Chhorii 2” is coming soon, and it will star actresses Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan in the lead roles.
The announcement for “Chhorii 2” came from Prime Video, a popular streaming service, on their Instagram page. Their post hinted at the movie’s plot, saying that the main character, Sakshi, will fight to save her daughter from a scary cult led by someone called Pradhan Ji. The post also mentioned that the film will explore the issue of blind faith in traditions (superstitions) and the terrifying realities that can hide behind them. They even included a new poster featuring Nushrratt and Soha. Nushrratt looks scared in the poster, while Soha is dressed in black and wearing a veil, creating a mysterious vibe.
The first “Chhorii” movie didn’t receive great reviews from critics. Some viewers liked it, but others didn’t. While many people enjoyed Nushrratt’s performance, the scary scenes in the movie fell short of expectations for some. Here’s a fun fact: “Chhorii” is actually a remake of a popular Marathi horror film called “Lapachhapi.” The trailer for “Lapachhapi” hinted that the story might be based on real events, but “Chhorii” didn’t make any such claims.
“Chhorii” was also special because it marked the first time two production companies joined forces. Abundantia Entertainment, known for their horror and paranormal content, collaborated with Crypt TV, a company from Los Angeles famous for creating creepy and innovative horror content like “The Look-See” and “The Birch.”
“Chhorii” wasn’t just a scary movie; it also aimed to deliver a strong social message. The film had a great cast of actors besides the leads, including Mita Vasisht, Rajesh Jais, and Saurabh Goyal, who all played important roles.
