‘A Very True Story That…’: Vikram Kochhar Talks About Dunki And Rajkumar Hirani’s Cinematic World
December 15, 2023Vikram Kochhar, who plays Buggu in the much-anticipated film ‘Dunki’, recently in an interview his thoughts and experience from the film, shedding light on its real narrative and the exceptional camaraderie behind the scenes. “Dunki, from the trailers to the teasers, has only scratched the surface of its heartwarming tale,” expressed Kochhar, emphasizing the lasting impact the film promises to have on the audience. With Rajkumar Hirani at the helm, the acclaimed director is set to deliver a story that will resonate with millions, featuring an ensemble cast that includes Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Grover, and the legendary Shah Rukh Khan.
Describing the film as “very touching, emotional, and funny,” Kochhar revealed, “You will see very new kinds of jokes. Memers are going to have fun because many memes are going to come out of it.” He further highlighted the film’s authenticity, stating, “There is nothing that we have shown in the film that doesn’t happen, it happens.”
Offering a broader perspective on ‘Dunki’s narrative, Kochhar shared, “This is the story which has been very prevalent, very significant, a very true story that has been narrated. There are many stories of the characters in the film that are very relatable.” He commended Shah Rukh Khan for his down-to-earth approach, saying, “I think Shah Rukh sir, he makes things simple for you. It doesn’t feel like you are working with such a big superstar or a person with a kind aura.”
Speaking about Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial prowess, Kochhar stated, “I think the kind of understanding that Raju sir has for the cinema medium, it’s rare to find.”
‘Dunki’, a collaborative effort by JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films, is poised to hit the screens on December 21, 2023. Produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan, the film boasts a script written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon.
