Shaitaan Box Office Day 4: Ajay Devgn’s Supernatural Thriller Passes The Monday Test; Clocks Rs. 7.5 to 8 crores

Vikas Bahl’s new movie, Shaitaan, had a surprisingly good opening on Friday, making Rs. 15.21 crores. Even though it wasn’t a major holiday weekend (Maha Shivratri fell on Friday), the collections were impressive considering the movie is a horror film and wasn’t made on a huge budget. The good performance continued throughout the weekend, with the movie earning Rs. 19.18 crores and Rs. 20.74 crores on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. This brought the total collection for the opening weekend to a positive Rs. 55.13 crores.
Shaitaan Passes the Monday Test
After a strong weekend, it was important for Shaitaan to keep doing well on Monday, the first weekday after release. And it did! Early estimates suggest the movie earned between Rs. 7.5 crores and Rs. 8 crores on Monday.
This takes the movie’s total collection to around Rs. 63 crores, which is a good sign so far. It will be interesting to see if Shaitaan can maintain this momentum throughout the rest of the week.
About the Movie
Shaitaan is a Hindi remake of a Gujarati horror movie called Vash. It stars popular actors Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Jyothika, and Janki Bodiwala. The movie is produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilms, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios.
