  • This marks a successful comeback for Prabhas after a series of flops.
  • Salaar is expected to cross Rs 400 crore globally and may even reach Rs 500 crore in the coming days.

A Record-Breaking Opening

Salaar’s opening day was nothing short of phenomenal. It earned a monstrous Rs 90.7 crore, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which had collected Rs 89.5 crore on its opening day. This placed Salaar as the highest-grossing Indian film of the year, ahead of bigwigs like Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay, and Rajinikanth.

While there was a dip on Saturday, with collections at Rs 56.35 crore, Salaar roared back on Sunday with a 13% increase, reaching Rs 64.07 crore. This strong performance continued on Monday, with Salaar outperforming Jawan with collections of Rs 46.3 crore against SRK’s Rs 39.1 crore.

Prabhas’ Triumphant Return

After a string of disappointing flops following the Baahubali franchise, Salaar marks a triumphant return for Prabhas. The film, directed by Prashanth Neel, has been praised for its action sequences, story, and Prabhas’ performance.

Despite facing stiff competition from Dunki, another Shah Rukh Khan film directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Salaar is on track to cross the Rs 400 crore mark globally and may even reach the coveted Rs 500 crore milestone in the coming days.
