2023 was Shah Rukh Khan’s year, with blockbusters like Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. His 2024 started well too, with Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, hitting the coveted Rs 200 crore mark around New Year’s.
While Dunki saw a dip in week two, it bounced back in week three, proving its audience hold. Yesterday, Day 20, it earned Rs 1.43 crores, bringing its total to Rs 219.40 crores. Today, Day 21, it’s expected to stay steady around Rs 1.5 crores, crossing the Rs 220 crores mark. But with Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s Merry Christmas releasing this week, it’ll be interesting to see how Dunki performs in its third week.

Meanwhile, Dunki faces a tough competitor in Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Salaar. Globally, it scored Rs 175 crores on release day and a staggering Rs 400 crores in just 4 days, already hitting the Rs 600 crores club!
So, while Dunki cruises steadily, Salaar soars like a rocket. It’ll be fascinating to see who emerges the box office champion in this clash of the titans.
