Dunki Advance Booking: Shah Rukh Khan’s Movie Roars At Box Office Ahead Of Its Release
December 19, 2023Shah Rukh Khan’s new movie “Dunki” is creating a lot of buzz! Fans are excited to see him team up with director Rajkumar Hirani for the first time. Even though it’s already December, tickets for “Dunki” are now on sale in India.
Early signs are good! “Dunki” has already sold over 218,000 tickets, bringing in about 6.5 crore rupees (about $800,000) before it even hits theaters! According to the website Sacnilk, ‘Dunki’ has nearly collected Rs 7 crore in advance booking in India. Till 10 PM on December 18, the movie sold 218.7K tickets approximately. This is exciting news, especially since it’s competing with another big movie, “Salaar” starring Prabhas.
Shah Rukh Khan recently unveiled a new song from ‘Dunki’, which is sung by Diljit Dosanjh. Sharing the music video, he wrote in the caption, “Tum jo maang loge dil toh yeh jaan dega banda….vaadon ka iraadon ka aur apne yaaron ka yaar. Aur ek aur yaar @diljitdosanjh paaji ne is gaane mein jaan bhar di hai. Thank u and love u paaji for making Hardy a banda for everyone to love.”
Why so much hype? Shah Rukh Khan recently shared a new song from “Dunki” and called it the story of people who long to return home. Many fans are curious to see this different kind of film from the action-packed “Pathaan” and “Jawan” he released earlier this year.
Earlier, in an interview with The Deadline, He said, “In English, my film would be called Donkey. But the way, a part of India pronounces the word, it is ‘Dunki’. The Punjabis say it as Dunki. How much should I tell you about the film…It is a film directed by one of the most brilliant filmmakers we have in our country, Mr Raju Hirani. It is written by a fantastic writer, Abhijat Joshi. It is a story of people who want to come back home when you finally get the calling.”
So, what’s next? “Dunki” opens in theaters on December 22nd. With all the excitement and strong advance booking, it’s looking like a big hit for Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani!
