Animal: Only Ranbir & Sandeep Reddy Vanga Knew The Complete Story Of The Film: ‘Even Anil Kapoor Wasn’t…’

Animal actor shared that Sandeep Reddy Vanga only told the film story to Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir Kapoor’s electrifying performance in Animal has captivated audiences and critics alike, solidifying the film’s status as a box office juggernaut. Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s masterful direction has propelled Animal to unprecedented heights, while Siddhant Karnick’s portrayal of Ranbir’s brother-in-law has garnered widespread acclaim.

In an interview with Filmy, Siddhant shared, “Even Anil Kapoor wasn’t aware of it(story), made us all feel less bad. He (Ranbir) used to come on set ready; his lines would be completely sorted. We were shooting in this glass house where the scene was shot. We were shooting in Delhi, it was very hot and we were shooting in the Pataudi Palace in the glass house.”

He added, “He was always enthusiastic about this; then he would get into his own personal journey, his own relationship with Harshhvardhan. You know, he reflected on that, Ranbir and him built on their working relationship. It was such a wonderful moment for us outsiders. Both of them, their conversations were like an encyclopedia of the Hindi film industry.”

Animal is a gritty and intense crime thriller directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film follows Vijay, a complex and conflicted character played by Ranbir Kapoor, as he navigates a toxic relationship with his emotionally distant father. Vijay’s desperate attempts to gain his father’s approval lead him down a dark path, marked by violence and questionable choices. The film features bold scenes, including Ranbir Kapoor’s nude appearance, and has been given an ‘A’ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to its mature content. With a runtime of 3 hours and 35 minutes, Animal is a captivating and thought-provoking cinematic experience.
