‘I’m A Big Fan Of Ranbir Kapoor’: Mahesh Babu Calls Ranbir Kapoor ‘Best Actor In The Country’

It is after a very long time that two highly anticipated movies are clashing at the box office. Which one will you watch in the theatres on December 1 – Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal or Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur?

The promotions of both the movies are going on in full swing. Considering the advance bookings the Sandeep Reddy Vanga movie is racing ahead of the Meghna Gulzar directorial.

Mahesh Babu praises Ranbir Kapoor

The team of Animal recently organised an event in Hyderabad, which was attended by many celebrities including Anil Kapoor, SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu apart from the cast members. At the event, Mahesh Babu declared who is his favourite actor in the country. He also said that he is a huge fan of the Brahmastra actor.

“I have told him before when I met him but I don’t think he took that seriously. I am a huge Ranbir Kapoor fan and in my opinion he is the best actor in India,” he was quoted as saying. Meanwhile, Ranbir couldn’t stop gushing at this.

In response, he said, “You were the first superstar Mahesh Babu I ever met. I remember messaging him after watching Okkadu and he replied, and I cant thank you enough for supporting sir. Jai Babu, Jai Babu.”

Ranbir showed daughter Raha’s photo to the superstar

At the event, the two stars were seen bonding with each other. In one of the clip doing the rounds, Ranbir who is apparently obessed by his daughter Raha and was recently hailed as the best dad in the world by his father-in-law Mahesh Bhatt was seen showing Raha’s photo to him.

Was Mahesh Babu first choice for Animal?

While the grapevine suggests that the Kakbir Singh director wanted to cast Mahesh Babu for Animal and that he was the first choice but the South superstar rejected the movie after which Vanga approached the Rockstar actor.

Clarifying the same, the director revealed that he had approached Babu but not for Animal but for a different project titled Devil. He said that he didn’t reject the movie, it just didn’t materialise.
