The story revolves around a social activist who uses folk music to spread his message is arrested, accused of inciting a sewage worker’s suicide. Lawyers from both sides of the aisle, and the rote ideologies they represent, are scrutinized as the trial plays out. This Marathi movie was announced as India’s official submission for the 88th Annual Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
Angry Indian Goddesses
The movie portrays about the everyday struggles of a woman. It doesn’t really talk about empowerment and strength but puts across a straight message as to what will happen when a woman gets furious. A low budget film that just nailed it on the big screen making the audience clap at the end of it.
