Salaar Hits 300 Crore, But Still Lacks Punch

**Good start, shaky ** Salaar’s first week is over, and it’s a mixed bag. Huge pre-sales led to a massive opening, but word-of-mouth wasn’t great, and collections dropped after Christmas.

300 Crore Club: Despite the dip, Salaar crossed Rs. 300 crore in India! This is partly thanks to the strong Hindi version, which is doing well despite competing with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. In the latest box office update, Salaar has made its entry in the 300 crore club in India by recording a collection of day 7 at 12-13.50 crores. Including the estimates, the Indian total stands at 307.50-309 crores (all languages) after the end of the first week.

Telugu Disappoints: The original Telugu version started strong but dropped off quickly. Other dubbed versions also haven’t performed as expected.

High Hopes, Limited Success: Salaar’s budget was big, so a better performance was needed. Only the Hindi version is consistently contributing, leaving the overall performance underwhelming.

Second Weekend Boost Possible: Salaar seems popular in North India, so the coming weekend might see a rise in collections, maybe even beating Dunki’s second-weekend numbers. We’ll have to wait and see!

In short: Salaar’s first week was a rollercoaster. A great start was followed by a drop, but it still managed to reach 300 crore. The Hindi version is the saving grace, while other languages haven’t met expectations. The second weekend might bring a boost, but overall, Salaar hasn’t quite lived up to its potential.
