Family Star: A Love Story with a Few Bleeps

The upcoming movie “Family Star” is a romantic comedy starring Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur. While the title suggests a lighthearted family film, things got a little interesting before its release. The movie rating board in India (CBFC) found some bad language in the movie and decided to mute those parts out. These naughty words were mainly in scenes that take place in the United States.

Basically, when the movie was shown to the rating board for approval, they gave it a U/A rating, which means some parental guidance is suggested. In order to make sure the movie is okay for families, they asked for the bad words to be silenced. This decision by the rating board on April 2nd caused a bit of a stir online.

The movie is also about 2 hours and 43 minutes long. There were five things the rating board wanted changed: a song showed too many liquor labels, and there were five instances of bad language.
