The movie’s cinematographer, Sunil KS, recently revealed a fascinating story about how much effort Prithviraj put into this particular scene. Not only did he stop eating for three days to look very thin, but he also drank a small amount of vodka to get rid of any extra water weight. Sunil explained, “Prithviraj hadn’t eaten anything for three days, and on the last day, he didn’t even drink water. Right before filming, he took a small amount of vodka to get rid of the last bit of water in his body. He was so weak that we had to carry him to the set in a chair and then lift him up just before filming the scene.”

Prithviraj Talks About His Transformation

Prithviraj himself spoke to News 18 about the difficult process of changing his appearance for the movie. He said, “I never thought I could actually do something like this. The hardest part was definitely the hunger. It wasn’t like a regular diet; I just wasn’t eating anything at all. My transformation mostly came from fasting. There were times when I didn’t eat for three days straight.”

The book tells the true story of Najeeb, a worker from Kerala, India, who went to Saudi Arabia to find work, just like many others.
