On Hrithik’s 50th birthday, the “Fighter” crew unveiled some breathtaking behind-the-scenes footage. It’s like a superhero origin story, but instead of superpowers, we get to see Hrithik’s dedication and hard work as he molds himself into Shamsher. From intense physical training to mastering the intricacies of piloting a fighter jet, the video is both inspiring and thrilling.
“He lights up the screen, every time!” Viacom18 Studios, the movie’s producers, exclaimed on their Instagram. They’re right – Hrithik’s charisma and screen presence are simply electrifying. And to celebrate his birthday, they even nicknamed him “Patty” for the character!
But Hrithik isn’t alone in this high-flying adventure. Joining him in the cockpit is the ever-so-talented Deepika Padukone as Squadron Leader Minal Rathore. The duo will share the lead roles, battling it out in the skies while navigating the complexities of love and war.
In an interview with India Today, Siddharth Anand gave some details about Hrithik and Deepika’s character. “Deepika is also playing an Air Force officer. She’s part of the elite unit of the Air Force, and it’s based on a lot of reality and authenticity. Something that Deepika has also bitten into,” he said.
He added, “It is something that she’s not played before. And honestly, it’s a lot like her in real life, the character that she’s playing. She’s so much fun on set and she’s translating that character to be a real good takkar to Hrithik’s character, so it is very exciting. It’s fun!”
‘Fighter’ will hit the theatres on January 25, 2024. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie is produced by Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb, Anku Pande, Kevin Vaz and Ajit Andhare and co-produced by Prime Focus Studios.
The star cast doesn’t stop there! Lending their wings to the movie are veteran actors like Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi. Anil Kapoor takes on the role of Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, while Karan Singh Grover portrays Squadron Leader Sartaj Gill. Finally, Akshay Oberoi completes the squadron as Squadron Leader Basheer Khan.
