Coldplay fans received bittersweet news as frontman Chris Martin announced the band’s decision to retire from making music after their 12th studio album. This revelation comes ahead of the release of their 10th album, “Moon Music,” on October 4th.

Martin explained that the decision to cap their discography at 12 albums was inspired by iconic figures like The Beatles, Bob Marley, and even the “Harry Potter” series. He emphasized the band’s commitment to maintaining high quality and allowing members to pursue personal endeavors.

India Awaits!

But before they bid farewell, Coldplay is set to ignite India with their “Moon Music” tour in January 2025. After an 8-year wait, the band will perform at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on January 18th, 19th, and 21st.

The high demand for tickets led to the addition of a third show after the initial two dates caused booking site crashes and left fans, including celebrities like Karan Johar, disappointed.

A Bittersweet Farewell Tour

While the news of Coldplay’s eventual retirement may sadden fans, their upcoming album and India tour promise to be a celebration of their incredible musical journey. Indian fans are eagerly anticipating the chance to experience Coldplay’s magic live one last time.
