In 12th Century India, Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan (Akshay Kumar), king of Ajmer and the most famous warrior of his times is deeply in love with the most beautiful Princess Sanyogita (Manushi Chhillar) of Kannauj. Never having met, they fell in love hearing stories about each other from travelling bards. When Samrat Prithviraj decides to give shelter to Mir Husain, who is escaping the wrath of his brother Sultan Mohammed Ghori (Manav Vij) of Ghazni, the mighty Sultan decides to wage a war on India, an evil design in guise of revenge that is thwarted by the brave Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. In an act of benevolence, a captured Ghori is pardoned by the Samrat. As Samrat Prithviraj is crowned the Emperor of Delhi, his laurels traveling far and wide, Ghori decides to take another shot at capturing Delhi, this time with more might and allies in India, who are as jealous of the prolific Samrat Prithviraj as Ghori. Will Ghori succeed in his evil plans or will Prithviraj be able to teach the Sultan a lesson once again, overcoming the insurmountable odds stacked up against him.
