Telugu Cinema in 2024: Hits, Misses, and a Superhero

The first few months of 2024 have been a mixed bag for Telugu cinema. Let’s break down some of the biggest releases so far.

Early 2024 Releases

In January, during the Sankranti festival, two movies hit it big at the box office:

• HanuMan: This superhero film, based on the Hindu god Hanuman, was a massive success. It earned over ₹350 crore worldwide and became the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year so far. Not So Hot Releases
