This Bollywood Star Saved Bobby Deol’s Career After He Had No Work For 5 Years

Bobby Deol is currently enjoying the success of his latest film, Animal, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor. However, there was a time when his career was in a slump and he struggled to find work. A Bollywood superstar stepped in and played a crucial role in reviving his career.

Bobby Deol rose to prominence in the Bollywood industry during the early 2000s. He starred in a string of successful films such as Gupt, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, Kareeb, Soldier, Badal, Bichhoo, Humraaz, and Chor Machaaye Shor, establishing himself as a household name. However, as his career progressed, his films began to underperform, and filmmakers gradually stopped offering him roles. Reportedly, he faced a period of five years without any work. It was then that he received an offer for Race 3, starring Salman Khan, which proved to be a turning point in his career.

According to Bobby Deol, he credits Salman Khan for helping him make a comeback in films. He talked about it at a media interaction, “I will keep thanking Salman all my life. One day he called me and said, Mamu shirt utarega? (Uncle, will you take off your shirt?) I said I will do anything!” He continued saying that this is how he landed Race 3, and that many youngsters were not familiar with him, and this was his chance. Even though the film bombed at the box office, it made way for more opportunities for him. He worked in Housefull 4, Class of 83’ and did a web show called Ashram.

Bobby Deol’s latest film, Animal, has emerged as a massive box office success. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Ranbir Kapoor, the film also features an ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri. Produced by Bhushan Kumar under T-Series Films with a budget of Rs 100 crore, Animal has reportedly grossed over Rs 360 crore worldwide within just three days of its release.
