Vanraj Shah of Rajan and Deepa Shahi’s “Anupamaa” has consistently been an egotistical and ruling individual, and despite the fact that life has tried him in its own specific manner, his disposition actually stays as before. So when Anuj Kapadia needed to be colleagues with Anupamaa, he just couldn’t take it. Anupamaa working in a higher situation than him is extremely offending for him, and furthermore he is frightened that Anupamaa also may start preferring Anuj over the long haul and he absolutely doesn’t need that to occur.
In the episode, we saw that in the wake of giving over the arrangement papers, Anupamaa leaves from Anuj’s office and Anuj is very glad that following 26 years he dared to request Anupamaa’s number. While Vanraj advises others to not go for the festival, Babuji illuminates them that he will go. Kavya later prevents Vanraj from calling Anuj and reveals to him that he should vent out his outrage on Anupamaa and not Anuj.
Likewise, Anuj reveals to Gopi Kaka that he can feel that either Vanraj doesn’t care for Anupamaa succeeding or he doesn’t care for him. Any which ways he chooses to intercede if Vanraj belittles or affronts Anupamaa outside their home.
