Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 Has THIS Divine Connection With Lord Shiva And Parshuram, Says Producer

The Kannada film industry has consistently captivated audiences with its exceptional productions. They have crafted compelling stories that have resonated not only within the region but have also achieved pan-India acclaim. The industry’s artists, directors, writers, musicians, and technicians have garnered nationwide recognition for their outstanding contributions. Kantara, a film that captivated audiences, stands as a testament to this success. Directed by Rishab Shetty, who also played the lead role, Kantara, despite being a low-budget production, emerged as a resounding success, garnering immense praise for its unique narrative.

The anticipation for Kantara’s prequel, titled Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1, has reached a fever pitch. This prequel delves into the region’s rich cultural heritage, providing a deeper understanding of its traditions and beliefs. The recently released poster showcases Rishab Shetty in a fierce persona, wielding an axe and a trident. In an interview, film producer Vijay Kiragandur discussed the poster and the prequel’s progress.  He said, “There is a story in the coastal areas of Karnataka that Parshuram has created, and the role of Shiva is also very important in this story. The poster has been made in the symbolic form of Shiva and Parshuram.”

Vijay Kiragandur, the film’s producer, revealed that crafting the first-look poster took a meticulous 10 days. He further disclosed that the film’s shooting will take place in 10-15 day intervals each month, with the entire shoot expected to be completed within 6-8 months. Post-production is estimated to take an additional 3-4 months. Notably, a significant portion of the filming will occur amidst the dense forests of Sri Lanka.

Kiragandur emphasized that the prequel will be grander in scale compared to its predecessor. The prequel will feature more palaces and structures reminiscent of ancient times, necessitating a substantial increase in the film’s budget. Reportedly, the budget for Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 has doubled compared to the original film.
