Crew Takes Off with Strong Opening Weekend!

The new movie Crew, starring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon, had a great first weekend at the box office! Early estimates show the film made ₹32.5 crore (roughly $4 million USD) over the three-day opening.

Crew opened strong on Friday, a holiday weekend due to Good Friday, bringing in ₹10.28 crore. The audience loved it, and ticket sales grew even higher on Saturday to ₹10.87 crore, and again on Sunday to ₹11.25 crore. This steady increase is a very good sign for the film’s future success.

To be a big hit, Crew now needs to hold onto its audience during the weekdays. So far, word-of-mouth seems positive, especially among the people who were expected to enjoy the movie the most.

With a strong opening and positive buzz, Crew is off to a good start. Now everyone is waiting to see how it does in the next ten days, especially with two other big movies, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan, coming out soon.

Since Crew is mainly shown in multiplexes (large theaters with many screens), it might see another jump in ticket sales next weekend. This could push the film towards making a lot of money overall.

If Crew can keep its audience on weekdays, there’s even a chance it could hit the ₹100 crore mark (roughly $12.5 million USD). However, for that to happen, ticket sales on Monday need to be at least ₹6 crore.
