Taaza Khabar Season 2 Twitter Review: Bhuvan Bam’s web series has made its return to Disney+ Hotstar, bringing with it the same lack of substance that surrounds the question, “Did Vasant really die?” Written by Aziz Dalal, Hussain Dalal, and Abbas Dalal, and directed by Himank Gaur, this new installment feels stale, leaving viewers with the sense that Vasant’s luck has finally run out.

The story follows Vasant Gawde, portrayed by Bhuvan Bam, who in Season 1 acquired the extraordinary ability to foresee events, leading him to become wealthy through match betting. However, his fortune has come at a steep price for others, particularly for the mafia don Yusuf (Javed Jaffrey), who has suffered considerable losses. Now, Vasant finds himself saddled with a staggering debt of 1,000 crores to Yusuf. Can he find a way to repay this massive sum?

In six drawn-out episodes, the ever-optimistic Vasant strives to settle his escalating debt to Yusuf, who cruelly raises the stakes from 100 crores to 500 crores and finally to 1,000 crores, purely for his own amusement. Meanwhile, Vasant attempts to repair his fractured relationships with his parents, played by Vijay Nikam and Atisha Naik, and to rekindle his romance with his ex-girlfriend Madhu, portrayed by Shriya Pilgaonkar. His friends, Peter (Prathamesh Parab) and Mehboob (Deven Bhojani), join him in his outrageous schemes to pay back Yusuf, who frequently threatens violence yet seldom acts on it.

Those who watched the series have shared their reviews, and it appears they are not impressed. While audiences praised Bhuvan’s performance, many felt the series lacked freshness and failed to meet their expectations for excitement.
