Pratyusha Suicide Case: Rahul Singh’s Lawyer Walks Out Of Case!

The case of Pratyusha Banerjee’s mystery suicide has taken a twist, Rahul Raj Singh’s lawyer Neeraj Gupta quit the case.

Pratyusha’s live-in partner Rahul was on Tuesday booked for abetment of suicide under section IPC 306, 504, 506, 303  after the FIR filed due to a complaint filed by Pratyusha’s mother, Soma Banerjee at Bangurnagar Police Station.

While a lot colleagues of Late Pratyusha had come forward with claims that his relationship with Pratyusha was of abusive nature, it was the Balika Vadhu actress’ mother Soma Banerjee’s statement to the police that finally led to Rahul being booked.

On the other hand, TV actor Rahul Raj Singh has applied for anticipatory bail in the Dindoshi Court of Mumbai, which will be heard on Thursday.

During this time when the bail appeal is to be heard on Thursday, Rahul’s lawyer Neeraj Gupta has backed out of Rahul’s case stating that his client was not sharing crucial facts. “I listened to my conscience,” the lawyer said after giving up on the case.

“My client and his family did not tell me all the facts about the case,” Gupta added, he had taken the decision to let go of the case on “humanitarian grounds”.

“I came across some facts and (that’s when) I decided to leave the case,” Gupta said.

According to police statement, Singh on Tuesday was booked for abetment of her suicide last week and also with the charges of criminal intimidation.

Police are awaiting the viscera report of the actress.
