1. THE CONJURING (2013)

The film was based on the real-life story of the investigators /demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. They inspected the Perron family house in Rhode Island. It is believed that their house was haunted with a witch, Bathsheba Sheran. It is believed that she was practicing Satanist and she murdered her younger daughter as a sacrifice. Soon after that she committed suicide and till now the Warren’s couldn’t get rid of the demonic entity.

2. THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE (2005)

In 1968, there was a girl named Anneliese Michel, on which this movie is based. When she was 17, she had fits and convulsions. Soon it was believed that she was being possessed by a devil. Her family showed her to doctors but nothing has happened. Soon after that, she was being treated with the procedure of exorcism. After her death, her parents and two priests were sentenced to 6 months prison.

3. THE AMITYVILLE HORROR (2005)

This movie is also based on a real-life story of a Lutz Family who shifted in the house on 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York. It was the same house where a mass murder has happened years ago and Lutz Family witnessed several paranormal activities in the house. Interestingly, this house was also being investigated by Ed and Lorraine Warren.
