‘When People Are Excited About Ram Mandir…’ FIR Lodged Against Nayanthara’s Movie “Annapoorani” For Allegedly Describing Lord Ram As A Meat Eater
January 9, 2024A politician named Ramesh Solanki is upset with a movie called “Annapoorani” starring Nayanthara. He thinks it hurts Hindu feelings by showing something called “Love Jihad” and making fun of Lord Ram. He posted on social media that the movie is bad for Hindus and says it was released on purpose to mess up the celebration of a new temple for Lord Ram. Solanki asked a government official to punish the movie creators and the website where you can watch it.

In his online post, Solanki stated which is roughly translated as:
“At a time when the entire world is eagerly awaiting the Pran Pratishtha of Bhagwan Shri Ram Mandir, this anti-Hindu film Annapoorani has been released on Netflix, produced by Zee Studios, Naad Sstudios, and Trident Arts. 1. A daughter of a Hindu Poojari is depicted offering Namaz to cook Biryani. 2. The film allegedly promotes Love Jihad. 3. Farhan (the actor) supposedly convinces the actress to consume meat, claiming that Bhagwan Shri Ram was also a meat eater.”

He further shared images of his formal complaint and called upon authorities to register an FIR against those responsible for allegedly hurting religious sentiments, tagging Netflix India and Zee Studios.

As of now, there has been no response from either the streaming platform or the movie’s producers. “Annapoorani,” a Tamil film centering around a character aspiring to be a chef, premiered in theaters on December 1, 2023.
