Great news for fans of South Indian movies! Prime Video just announced a bunch of new films coming to the streaming service this year. They also gave us a sneak peek at some upcoming titles, including “Family Star” and the highly anticipated “Kantara 2.”
Here’s a closer look at what’s in store:
Kanguva: This movie takes us on a journey through time, starting in the 1700s and ending in 2023. It tells the story of a hero who must complete a mission that was left unfinished long ago. It’s a tale about showing gratitude and achieving goals. We even got a glimpse of the movie in a teaser trailer! Disha Patani plays the lead role, with Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, and Anand Rah joining her in the cast.
Kantara: Chapter 2: Remember the movie “Kantara”? Well, get ready for part two! This prequel will see the return of Rishabh Shetty, who not only acts in the film but also directs it. The story explores the dangers of greed and how it can lead to destruction. Hombale Films is producing the movie, and it sounds like they’re putting a lot of money into making it a big success.
Game Changer: Prime Video gave us a first look at Ram Charan’s character in “Game Changer.” The poster shows him facing a village while dressed in a purple outfit. The story follows an honest government official who fights against political corruption by promoting fair elections.
Family Star: This Telugu film is set to be released on April 5, 2024. Parasuram directs the movie, which stars Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, Ajay Ghosh, and Divyansha Kaushik.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu: This upcoming Telugu film is a period action adventure based on the legendary outlaw Veera Mallu. Pawan Kalyan takes on the lead role, alongside Bobby Deol, Nidhi Agerwal, Nora Fatehi, and Vikramjeet Virk.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh: This Telugu action drama is a remake of the Tamil film “Theri.” Pawan Kalyan plays the title character, Bhagat Singh. Sreeleela, Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, and others join him in the cast. The movie is directed by Harish Shankar.
Vaa Vaathiyaar: This movie tells the story of a die-hard fan of the famous actor MGR who raises his grandson believing he’s the reincarnation of the star. But what happens when the grandson grows up differently than his grandfather imagined?
