Nani reveals playful exchanges with SS Rajamouli about Eega 2, says it will happen when the right idea ‘strikes’ the director.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Nani talked about the possibility of an Eega sequel with SS Rajamouli. Nani humorously shared that he has often joked with Rajamouli about returning for Eega 2, but the director playfully responded that the fly would be back, not necessarily Nani’s character. Nani expressed his admiration for the originality of Eega and believes it would have been a global hit if made today. He is confident that when Rajamouli has the right idea for a sequel, the world will know.

Nani also provided updates on his upcoming projects. He confirmed a September announcement for his next film, hinting that it will shed light on the much-anticipated HIT 3. He also confirmed his collaboration with Dasara director Srikanth Odela for Nani 33 and dismissed rumors about Saaho director Sujeeth’s film being shelved.

Nani’s immediate focus is on Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, a vigilante action film directed by Vivek Athreya, releasing on August 29, 2024. The film stars SJ Suryah and Priyanka Arul Mohan alongside Nani and tells the story of Surya, a young man with anger management issues who confronts a corrupt police officer.
