Kanguva First Review Out: Suriya’s Tamil Fantasy Action Movie Dubbed ‘Mesmerising’

Suriya’s upcoming movie Kanguva is a highly-anticipated Tamil action movie coming out in 2024. It’s directed by Siva and features Bollywood actors Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in their first Tamil film roles. Even though the movie won’t be in theaters until October 10th, 2024, there’s already a first review.

Lyricist Viveka shared his review on social media, saying he was amazed by the movie and that it’s something Indian cinema can be proud of. He also praised the director for creating a new world and Suriya for his excellent acting.

This movie project has been in the works for a while. It was first announced in 2019 with the working title Suriya 39, but there were several delays due to other projects and budget concerns. It was reannounced in 2022 as Suriya 42 and filming finally began in August of that year.

The movie was filmed in different locations in India and wrapped up in January 2024. The title Kanguva was officially revealed in April 2023. The music is by Devi Sri Prasad, the cinematography is by Vetri Palanisamy, and the editing is by Nishadh Yusuf. With a budget of around Rs 300 crore, it’s one of the most expensive Indian movies ever made.

Kanguva is scheduled to release on October 10th, 2024, during the Dussehra festival, and it will be available in regular, 3D, and IMAX formats.
