Dunki: A Shah Rukh Khan Starrer with a Budget of Just Rs 85 Crores

Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated film, Dunki, is set to release on December 21, 2023. The film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, has been in the news for its budget, which is reportedly just Rs 85 crores. This makes it one of Shah Rukh Khan’s lowest-budgeted films in recent years.

The film’s budget does not include the fees of the cast and crew, which could take the total cost to around Rs 120 crores. However, considering the pre-sales of the film’s non-theatrical rights, which are estimated to be in the range of Rs 100 crores, the film is already in the profit zone even before its release.

Dunki’s low budget is attributed to Rajkumar Hirani’s efficient planning and cautious spending. The film was shot in just 75 days, with Shah Rukh Khan shooting for 60 days. Hirani also used the time between Dunki’s shooting schedules to edit the film, which helped to speed up the post-production process.
