5 Big Bollywood Movies Rejected By Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor has been a fine actor for a long time. Though he received a lot of hate for his character in the film, Kabir Singh, though the way he lived upto the character proves how good of an actor he is.

Shahid he has done some amazing films especially rom-coms which made us all go, ‘aww!’ there are hit films which he could have been a part of but he denied.

Below is the list of movie Shahid Kapoor rejected:

1. Rockstar – 2011

Ranbir Kapoor received massive love because of this film and was probably one of his best projects of all time. This film was first offered to Shahid but the issue was he had to choose between Rockstar and Jab We Met. Now we all know what he chose, well, probably a good choice. Though I can imagine Shahid playing a goth character as he did in Udta Punjab.

2. Rang De Basanti – 2006

Rang De Basanti had a list of major star-cast which actually was the best part of it making it a super hit one. The cast included, Aamir Khan, Siddharth, Sharman Joshi, R. Madhvan, Atul Kulkarni, Kunal Kapoor, Alice Patten, Kirron Kher, and Soha Ali Khan. The role of Siddharth was initially offered to Shahid but he had to reject it because he had no time for it.

While being in an interview with Neha Dhupia, he said,

“I regret not doing the film. They wanted me to play the role of Siddharth. I’d cried while reading the script and loved it, but unfortunately couldn’t make time for it.”
