Kannada OTT Releases In August 2024: Kannada cinema has gained a massive fan following across the country heights with blockbuster movies including ‘Sapta Sagaradaache Ello’, ‘KGF’ franchise, ‘777 Charlie’, ‘Kantara’ and others. OTT platforms have also made it easy for Kannada filmmakers to make their movies and shows more accessible to the audience worldwide.

1. Brinda

‘Brinda’ stars Trisha Krishnan, Indrajith Sukumaran, Jaya Prakash, Aamani, Ravindra Vijay, Anand Sami, and Rakendu Mouli. Written and directed by Surya Manoj Vangala, the series will release on SonyLiv on August 2. The show revolves around SI cadet Brinda, who has to solve a brutal murder with a chilling modus operandi. It will release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

2. Shekhar Home

‘Shekhar Home’ is inspired by the literary work of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The series revolves around an intelligent detective and his partner as they solve tough crime cases. It stars Kay Kay Menon, Ranvir Shorey, Rasika Dugal, and Kirti Kulhari in the lead roles and will release on JioCinema on August 14. The series will release in Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.

3. Turbo

‘Turbo’ revolves around a Jeep driver, who is forced to relocate to Chennai after he gets into trouble. But surprises await him in the city when he meets Vetrivel Shanmugha Sundaram. The movie will release on SonyLiv on August 8. According to reports, the film will also release in different languages.

4. Jigar

‘Jigar’ is an action drama Kannada movie, released in theatres in July 2024. The movie is likely to release on OTT in August 2024. Directed by Suri Kunder, it stars Vijayashree Kalburgi, Karan Kunder and Praveen Tej.

5. Hejjaru

‘Hejjaru’ stars Gopal Krishna Deshpande, Bhagat Alva, Shwetha D’Souze, Muniraju, and Naveen Krishna. The movie revolves around Rajaram, who loses something precious to him. Years later, he meets Bhagat while searching for those who robbed him. The movie is likely to release on OTT in August 2024.

6. Roopanthara

‘Roopanthara’ is an anthology movie, starring Raj B. Shetty, Hanumakka, Somshekhar Bolegaon, Lekha Naidu, Bharat GB, Anjan Bharadwaj, and Salmin Sheriff. The movie is set in a dystopian future and all the stories are linked to each other. It is expected to release on OTT this month.
