The Story of Turbo Jose

The movie tells the story of Turbo Jose, a driver from Idukki who drives a Jeep. Because of some unexpected problems, he has to move to Chennai, a big city in India. There, he meets Indhulekha and her brother Jerry. But things don’t go smoothly for Jose. He soon faces new challenges, including encounters with a powerful man named Vetrivel Shanmugha Sundaram and his associates.

Turbo Speeds Ahead at the Box Office

Turbo’s first day at the box office was a big success! The movie earned an estimated 5.70 crore rupees (about $816,000 USD) in India. This shows that many people were interested in watching the film. Throughout the day, theaters were full: nearly half of all seats (48.53%) were occupied. The turnout was strong all day, with morning shows being the busiest (49.73%).

A Big Budget Film

Turbo was reportedly made for a total budget of 60 crore rupees (about $8.6 million USD). This includes all the costs of making the movie. Despite its high budget, the film’s strong opening suggests it may be profitable.

The Cast of Turbo

Mammootty plays the role of Aruvipurathu Jose, also known as Turbo Jose. Anjana Jayaprakash acts as Indhulekha, and her brother Jerry is played by an unknown actor. Turbo Jose’s problems are caused partly by Vetrivel Shanmugha Sundaram, played by Raj B. Shetty. Sunil plays Auto Billa, and Kabir Duhan Singh portrays Vincent, who both work with Vetrivel.
