Vettaiyan: A Star-Studded Action Drama

Chennai, India – The highly anticipated Tamil-language action drama, Vettaiyan, is set to hit theaters on October 10, 2024. Directed by T. J. Gnanavel and produced by Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast led by the legendary Rajinikanth.

Alongside Rajinikanth, the film features Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and Abhirami. The star-studded cast has generated immense excitement among fans.

According to reports, Rajinikanth has been compensated between ₹100 to ₹125 crore for his role in the film. Other cast members’ remuneration varies, with Amitabh Bachchan earning ₹7 crore, Fahadh Faasil receiving ₹2-4 crore, and Rana Daggubati being paid ₹5 crore. Actress Manju Warrier has secured ₹85 lakh, while Ritika Singh’s compensation stands at ₹25 lakh.

Vettaiyan is a cop action drama that revolves around a retired IPS officer who battles the system to seek justice. The film has been shot across various locations, including Thiruvananthapuram, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. The movie features cinematography by S.R. Kathir and editing by Philomin Raj.

The film’s soundtrack is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and the trailer is set to premiere on October 2. Vettaiyan has received a U/A certification from the censor board and has a confirmed runtime of 2 hours, 43 minutes, and 25 seconds.
