Kerala State Film Awards 2024: Prithviraj Sukumaran Wins Best Actor For Aadujeevitham, The Goat Life; Mammootty’s Kaathal Bags Big
Kerala State Film Awards 2024: The 54th Kerala State Film Awards were announced on August 16, with notable winners and recognitions. Prithviraj Sukumaran earned the Best Actor award for his performance in Aadujeevitham, while the Best Actress accolade was shared by Urvashi and Beena R Chandran. Kaathal – The Core, featuring Mammootty, was named Best Picture. The Best Director award went to Blessy for Aadujeevitham. The jury, led by veteran director Sudhir Mishra, also included director Priyanandanan, cinematographer Alagappan, director Lijo Jose Pellissery, and writer NS Madhavan. The selection process saw an initial list of 160 films, which was narrowed down to fewer than fifty in the final phase.
The Best Actress honour was jointly awarded to Urvashi for her performance in Christo Tomy’s Ullozhukku and Beena R Chandran for her role in Thadavu. Complete list:

Sudhi Kozhikode was similarly acknowledged for his acting in Kaathal: The Core. The Special Jury Award for Film went to Gaganachari, and Shalini Usha Devi was awarded the Special Jury Award for Women for her work in Ennennum. Additionally, the Special Jury Award for Visual Effects was given to the film 2018.
