BLACKPINK Lisa Announces New Solo Track Brand New Día With Exciting Teaser | Watch
BLACKPINK Lisa is back in the spotlight with the announcement of her new solo track, Brand New Día. Just a month after the release of her chart-topping single ROCKSTAR, Lisa is ready to captivate fans once again. Taking to LLOUD’s official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle, Lisa shared the first teaser for Brand New Día. Although the teaser didn’t reveal much about the song, it featured a snippet of Lisa rapping, “Banging and banging I want to crack these walls, banging and banging I want to exit these halls, pulling up fresh face brand new día.”
In the teaser, Lisa sported a pink outfit with a matching wig and silver jewellery, hinting at a Barbiecore and Y2K aesthetic for the new track. Following her departure from YG Entertainment last year, Lisa launched her solo label LLOUD in February 2024. She made a grand return to the music scene with ROCKSTAR on June 28, marking her first solo release in three years. Earlier this year, Lisa announced plans to release a solo album by the end of the year.

Apart from her music, Lisa is set to make her acting debut in the highly anticipated third season of HBO’s The White Lotus, expected to release in early 2025. As for BLACKPINK’s group activities, the members will reunite for a private fan sign event and a special movie screening to celebrate their eighth debut anniversary. In 2025, the girl group will make a comeback and embark on their third world tour.
Lisa’s journey as a solo artist began with her debut album LALISA in September 2021, which made history by selling 736,000 copies in its first week in South Korea. The lead single’s music video became the most-viewed by a solo artist within 24 hours on YouTube. Both LALISA and its second single, Money, achieved top ten spots on the Billboard Global 200. Money also became the longest-charting song by a female Kpop soloist on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. Additionally, LALISA and Money were the first album and song by a Kpop solo artist to reach one billion streams on Spotify.
